Reading competition correctly

Of 30,346 trucks imported in January–July 2025, 29,470 came from China and 50 from Türkiye. This shows strong Chinese competition in complete vehicles; it does not measure demand for suspension, brake, filter or rubber-metal parts. Parts require separate HS-level validation.

Preferential Trade Agreement

The Türkiye–Uzbekistan Preferential Trade Agreement entered into force on 1 July 2023. It does not automatically give every product zero duty; concession lists, origin rules and documents must be checked by HS code. Türkiye’s 23 June 2026 approval of the digital-economy agreement must not be presented as a current customs benefit before all parties complete entry into force.

Priority validation clusters

  • Heavy-vehicle suspension and brake parts
  • Steering and linkage parts
  • Filters and rubber-metal products
  • Trailer and semi-trailer components
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • CNC-machined parts and custom machinery

Her küme için 6–10 haneli tarife kodu, ithalat eğilimi, tedarikçi ülkeleri ve alıcı segmentleri ayrıca doğrulanmalıdır.

Market-entry checklist

  1. Validate the technical product description and HS code.
  2. Check current duties and measures in the integrated tariff.
  3. Verify PTA concessions and origin rules by product.
  4. Document testing, labelling and compliance requirements with the local importer.
  5. Assess OEM, distributor, wholesaler and fleet-maintenance channels separately.
  6. Compare landed cost including freight, tax, finance and lead time.
  7. Do not assume DDP obligations before confirming local tax and importer authority.
  8. Write payment, warranty, returns and exclusivity terms into the first contract.
